Springfield, IL — Illinois Presbyterian Home Communities (IPHC) is proud to announce the celebration of its 70th anniversary, marking seven decades of compassionate care and service to older adults in the Springfield area. Established in 1954, IPHC has remained a trusted name in senior living, rooted in Presbyterian values and a mission “founded in faith and focused on community.”
To honor this milestone, IPHC will host a special anniversary event — the “Back in the Day Brunch” — on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at the Ace Sign Company Sign Museum, located at 2540 S. First Street in Springfield. Doors will open at 12:00 p.m., with brunch served at 1:00 p.m.
The Back in the Day Brunch is a retro-themed, nostalgic celebration focused on the rich history of Illinois Presbyterian Home Communities and the generations of residents, staff, and families who have shaped it. Guests are invited to enjoy a fun and reflective afternoon featuring vintage décor, a delicious brunch, and music from decades past.
“We are thrilled to celebrate this momentous occasion with our residents, staff, families, and community supporters,” said Maryann Walker, Executive Director of IPHC. “This anniversary is not only a time to reflect on our history, but also to look forward to the future with gratitude and excitement.”
Guests will also have the opportunity to explore the Ace Sign Museum’s one-of-a-kind collection of historic signage — a fitting venue for a journey through time.
IPHC invites all current and former residents, staff, family members, and community partners to join in the celebration of this special milestone. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are available at iphcommunities.org/brunch. They can also be purchased at Illinois Presbyterian Home Communities’ reception desk.
