The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve as Statewide Telecommunications Administrator. Under administrative direction, this position will direct, coordinate, and review the activities of the statewide telecommunications program for the Department of Children and Family Services. The position will provide guidance regarding available technology and cost effectiveness of proposed telecommunications systems and devices. This position will also monitor unit activities to ensure compliance with Department policies and federal and state laws, rules, and statutes. Additionally, the position will confer with subordinate manager regarding telephone, wireless, and data issues, and/or requests related to cost factors, equipment information and analysis, new/pending orders and projects, billing interpretation and reconciliation, and deadlines. This position is a great opportunity for someone who is detail oriented and dedicated to ensuring the effectiveness of the Department’s vital telecommunications program.
