Rotary Club of Springfield Meeting: Illinois Symphony Orchestra Program

The Rotary Club of Springfield, Illinois will host its Monday, February 9th meeting featuring guest speakers Taichi Fukumura and Trevor Orthmann of the Illinois Symphony Orchestra (ISO).

Taichi Fukumura serves as Music Director of the Illinois Symphony Orchestra and is also Associate Conductor of the Cleveland Orchestra. Since assuming leadership of the ISO, Dr. Fukumura has championed an initiative to broaden the orchestra’s repertoire and expand its artistic reach.

Trevor Orthmann is the Executive Director of the Illinois Symphony Orchestra, overseeing a $1.5 million operating budget and a $2.5 million endowment. He brings a strong commitment to advancing appreciation for classical music and ensuring the orchestra’s long-term vitality.

The meeting will take place at Maldaner’s Upstairs (222 S. 6th Street) from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m., with attendees invited to arrive beginning at 5:00 p.m. for informal networking and social time prior to the program.

Visitors are always welcome to join Rotary meetings. Guests may enjoy the dinner buffet for $15.
