Description
Celebrate George Gershwin, the composer who forever changed the sound of American music. From the toe-tapping exuberance of the Girl Crazy Overture to the jazz-infused brilliance of Rhapsody in Blue and the colorful charm of An American in Paris, Gershwin's unforgettable melodies take center stage. Along the way, discover kindred spirits in Peter Boyer's patriotic and virtuosic Rhapsody in Red, White, and Blue, featuring pianist Jeffrey Biegel, and Dana Suesse's elegant Jazz Nocturne, works that blend classical tradition with the energy of jazz. Filled with rhythm, romance, and unmistakable American flair, this exhilarating program celebrates the music that made audiences fall in love with Gershwin and the enduring legacy he inspired.
