Tamar Kutz has been named president and CEO of Lincoln Memorial Hospital, effective Oct. 27.
Kutz, a Lincoln resident, has been with Memorial Health since 2010, most recently as vice president for quality and operations at Decatur Memorial Hospital. She had also served earlier this year as DMH’s interim president and CEO.
As LMH president and CEO, she steps into a role being vacated by Dolan Dalpoas, who was promoted to chief community impact and philanthropy officer at Memorial Health.
“With her wealth of experience in hospital operations and her strong commitment to the community where she lives, Tamar is a great choice to lead LMH,” Dalpoas said. “I’m looking forward to working closely with her as we continue our work to improve the health and well-being of Lincoln and Logan County.”
Kutz has a bachelor’s degree in management from the University of Illinois Springfield, a bachelor’s degree in health services administration from Lincoln College and a master’s degree in business administration from Benedictine University. She is also a member of the boards of the Richland Community College Foundation and Lincoln Elementary School District #27.
“LMH has a strong reputation as one of the best hospitals of its size in Illinois and nationwide,” Kutz said. “Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand the great care it provides to family, friends and neighbors. It’s an honor to be chosen to lead LMH and be a part of its legacy of care.”
