Central Illinois Community Blood Center (CICBC), a division of Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center (MVRBC), local provider of blood products to your community hospitals, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Account Manager to join our sales team and work with our committed community partners.  In this position, you will work with other dedicated sales/business development team members who actively partner with local businesses, schools, churches and civic organizations to support our mission by sponsoring blood collection events, at mobile and center locations, to provide lifesaving blood products to the hospitals and communities we serve. 

In this role, you will work to accomplish sales/territory goals and build trusting relationships with a new and existing client/donor base.  You will participate in and develop sales strategies, marketing and public relation initiatives, connect with community leaders and local media partners to contribute to the growth of CICBC.

We are looking for an energetic sales professional who can efficiently multitask, offer inventive and effective recruitment resources to our community partners, as well as, provide creative and consistent input to return progressive territory development.

Ideal Candidate should:
 
  • Demonstrate experience as a sales team(s) member and territory development
    • Coordinate and track progress, executing strategy based on data
    • Implement productive partnerships during peak-seasonal needs
  • Possess a personal record of successful sales
    • 3-5 years proven results
  • Have strong people and leadership skills, be described as a:
    • Humble Motivator
    • Proven relationship builder
    • Effective communicator both verbally and written
  • Have skill sets and experience which support mission driven and volunteer-based work
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field preferred; combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Ability to travel within Blood Center territory and possess a valid driver’s license, as well as the ability to be insurable by MVRBC
  • Ability to have a flexible work schedule based around a first shift position.  Position may require possible evening, weekend and/or extended travel supporting business needs throughout our service territories, attending community events and networking as needed for market growth and representation.
